George A. Edwards, MD
Dr. George Edwards graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended Baylor College of Medicine and completed a pediatric residency at Texas Children's Hospital, serving as chief resident. Dr. Edwards subsequently did a fellowship in pediatric nephrology.
Since 1983, he has been the Program Director of the Austin Pediatric Education Program, which has evolved into the current UT Southwestern Pediatric Residency at Dell Children's Medical Center. For the last seven years, he has served as a consultant in child abuse and coordinated the multidisciplinary child protection team at Dell Children's.
Dr. Edwards is married with both a daughter and a son. Besides work and family, his favorite activity is backpacking in the Grand Canyon.
